06 Jul REACTION AFTER THE USE OF VIOLENCE AND HATE SPEECH AT YESTERDAY’S PROTEST

The Blueprint Group condemns the use of violence and hate speech, as well as the incitement of ethnic intolerance at yesterday’s protest in Skopje against the French proposal.

The Blueprint Group supports the constitutionally guaranteed right of every citizen to express their views peacefully. However, every act of violence and hate speech should be condemned, especially in democratic countries like ours. Even more, taking into account the aspirations of the Republic of North Macedonia to join the European Union, as a strategic determination of our country, the Blueprint Group believes that the only way to solve key social issues is through reasoned dialogue instead of violence.

The Blueprint Group sends an appeal to political parties, public figures, as well as to every citizen of the Republic of North Macedonia, to express their opinion peacefully, without inciting intolerance and hatred, as well as an appeal to the media to convey the current events in an impartial and objective manner.
